The 2004 Excelsior Sesquicentennial Banner was compiled by Mark Kelly. -
The Excelsior Sesquicentennial Banner, all elements compiled by Mark Kelly, is a 31-star flag reminiscent of the 1851 flag of the United States of America. The “Excelsior” labeling is drawn from the original 1853 plat map of the village of Excelsior. The steamboat illustrated is the “Belle of Minnetonka,: which held some 1500 passengers, circa 1883.
